Jeff Lamm is in his 11th season as Chris Catanach’s top assistant at UT. This is Lamm’s 18th year coaching volleyball at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. He has also served as the assistant director of Tampa Volleyball Camps since coming to the school.
During his time at UT, the Spartans have registered a 397-42 record with a .904 winning percentage. He has been a part of 10 Sunshine State Conference championship squads and eight NCAA Elite Eight teams along with the 2006 national championship.
In 2011, Lamm was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association of America (AVCA) as its National Assistant Coach of the Year.
Prior to the 2006 season, Lamm was promoted from assistant coach to associate head coach. As the top assistant, Lamm helped the Spartans to the program’s first NCAA II national championship.
Lamm has enjoyed success at every level, including his stint as first assistant for TEAM FLORIDA, a USA High Performance team that won the gold medal in 2004 at the High Performance Championships. In 2003, he was named the USAV Florida Region Coach of the Year for his work with the Tampa Bay Junior Volleyball Club, where he has served as head coach for the past four years.
Prior to his arrival at UT, Lamm spent one year as the top assistant at Rollins College, and also coached high school volleyball at Riverview (Sarasota), Cardinal Mooney, and Cypress Creek. He has also coached at several USA Developmental and High Performance camps.
Lamm has an associate’s degree from Valencia CC and is currently working towards his bachelors degree at UT. He is married and resides in Tampa with his wife Jess.
