 December 7, 2009 Spartans Finish At #4 In Final PollTAMPA, Fla. – Although being knocked out in the quarterfinals, the University of Tampa Spartans volleyball jumped two spots to No. 4 in the final AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll. Tampa finished the season with a 31-3 record, capturing the Sunshine State Conference and South Region title while placing three players on the AVCA All-American team. It is the ninth time in the program's history that the Spartans have finished the season in the top five.

 December 3, 2009 Tampa Falls In Quarterfinals to CSU San BernardinoST. PAUL, Minn. – Despite gaining an early lead, the sixth-ranked University of Tampa Spartans fell in four sets to No. 2 Cal State University San Bernardino in the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals. Tampa lost by scores of 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 20-25 and was held to a season-low .222 hitting percentage. The Spartans conclude their season at 31-3, as the Coyotes advance to semifinals.

 December 1, 2009 Melissa Vanderhall Leads Group Of Three Spartan All-AmericansLEXINGTON, Ky. – A group of three University of Tampa student-athletes were among the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans. Meghan Sherman and Melissa Vanderhall were on the first team as Kaleigh Cunningham made the second team of the 29th annual AVCA All-America teams for NCAA Division II women's volleyball.
