TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa baseball team continued its community engagement efforts as it helped furnish homes for local families over a period of three days following Thanksgiving.
The UT baseball teamed up with the Tampa Homemakers Club. The Spartans helped furnish homes and at the end of the day, the families were able to move into their fully furnished homes.
Over the three days, UT Baseball teamed up to help furnish 11 local homes. Many kids now have beds to sleep in for the first time and their moms were saying this is the best Christmas gift ever.
This marks the seventh straight year where the baseball program has furnished houses for local families and veterans.
