Michael Paul Recognized as SSC Pitcher of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Following a dominant effort in Friday night's opener against Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Southern College, Michael Paul has been announced as the SSC Pitcher of the Week.

Paul grabs Pitcher of the Week accolades following his efforts in the series opener against the Mocs. The Clearwater, Fla., native tossed 6.1 innings, allowing one hit and one run as the Spartans secured a 6-1 win. Paul struck out a career-high 13 batters while walking none in the game. The weekly award is the second of his career.

Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of April 26 - May 2, 2021. Athletes are nominated by Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions.
