TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's basketball team joined forces with other local volunteer groups organizing and packaging food to be delivered to food shelters, soup kitchens and homeless shelters in the Tampa Bay Area. The team made an estimated 15,000 in three hours on Saturday morning.
"This was a tremendous opportunity for our team to make an impact in the local community," says head coach Richard Schmidt. "It was an eye-opening experience and one that our guys will always remember."
