Tampa Swimming Continues to Extend Lead on Eve of Final Day at SSC Championships
OCALA, Fla. – The University of Tampa swimming programs extended their leads on both the men's and women's sides during Day Four of the Sunshine State Conference Championships, capitalizing on a podium sweep in the men's 500 free, a women's 100 backstroke 1‑2‑3, and high‑value relay finishes in a powerful Saturday night at the FAST Center.
Tampa captured two individual titles on the night, Jacob Hamlin in the men's 500 freestyle and Burlingtyn Bokos in the women's 200 butterfly, while the Spartans also posted silver‑medal efforts in both 200 free relays to keep control of the team race heading into Sunday's finale.

- 200 Freestyle Relay: Tampa's A‑relay led the Spartans with a runner‑up finish in 1:19.00 behind the quartet of Tibor Tistan, Riccardo Pandin, Nick Cavic, and Mathias Holmann. In the B‑final, Tampa continued to add depth with a performance from Alfredo Dominguez, Josh Noll, Rufus Bernhardt, and Elliot Weisel (9th overall, 1:21.98).
