Spartans Drop Close Match to Chestnut Hill
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 37 University of Tampa
(1-4) tennis team fell by a 5-4 score against No. 41 Chestnut Hill
College (1-1) on Tuesday at the Naimoli & Young Tennis
Complex.
UT took two of the three doubles matches as the number-two team of
Kelsey Matthews and Gianna Pinasco won 8-3. The three-team of
Jenelle Morgan and Cameron Moskol were also victorious by an 8-2
tally.
Matthews and Morgan also won their singles matches with MAtthews
taking the three match 6-3, 6-1. Morgan won 6-4, 6-3 at number
six.
The Spartans hit the road for a pair of Sunshine State Conference
matches this weekend. UT will face Florida Tech on Friday at 2
p.m., followed by a 1 p.m., match at Lynn University on
Saturday.
