Rob Fiedler is in his fourth year at the University of Tampa as he serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
In his position, Fiedler is responsible for multiple compliance related tasks including assisting with the academic eligibility certification process, issuing rules interpretations, compiling waiver applications, completing various NCAA reporting requirements and monitoring both the athletics department and University to ensure compliance with all NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules and regulations.
Fiedler came to UT after serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Services at Brevard College in North Carolina from 2009-2013. While at Brevard, Rob assisted with NCAA eligibility certification, monitored student-athlete’s academic performance and monitored NCAA equivalencies and team scholarship budgets. He also administered the college’s rules compliance program and conducted rules education meetings with coaches, student-athletes and boosters.
Prior to Brevard College, Fiedler served as the Assistant Compliance Coordinator at Syracuse University from 2007-2009. While at Syracuse, Fiedler’s responsibilities included assisting in the initial-eligibility certification process, maintenance of the NCAA Compliance Assistant Software, overseeing the financial aid packages of all student-athletes and supervising Syracuse University’s National Letter of Intent program.
Fiedler obtained a Master of Science Degree in sports management at Slippery Rock University where he served as a Graduate Assistant to the Athletic Director. During this time, he assisted with game day event management duties and also supported the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance. He graduated from Edinboro University in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in health and physical education with a concentration in sport administration.
A native of Coraopolis, Pa., Rob, his wife Andrea and their daughters Emma and Evelyn reside in Land O'Lakes.
