Cody deNoyelles Earns SSC Baseball Player of the Week Honors

MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa second basemen Cody deNoyelles has been named the Sunshine State Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Mike Eagan of Eckerd College was also honored as the SSC Pitcher of the Week.

deNoyelles and Eagan were selected SSC Athletes of the Week from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of February 16-22.

The Spartans moved to 11-1 on the year with the help of the bat of deNoyelles. In the three games against Georgia Regents, deNoyelles went 7-14 with four RBI and six runs scored. The junior from Windermere, Fla., also added a home run and two doubles which helped give him a slugging percentage of .857. The Spartans were able to put up double digit run totals in all three games behind deNoyelles. He was also able to post a perfect fielding percentage at second base in the series.
