#1 Tampa Reaches Regional Final in Urso's 1,000th Win
TAMPA, Fla. – The #1 University of Tampa Spartans advance to the regional final after beating Lee University behind three home runs in route to Head Coach Joe Urso's and Assistant Sam Militello's career number 1,000 win.
Final: #1 Tampa Spartans 13, #4 Lee Flames 1

All-Time Series: Spartans now hold a 3-2 edge over the Flames.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a one-out double by Santiago Garavito, Brayden Woodburn would come up with a two-out RBI single to bring home Garavito for the game's first run. Nico Saladino would then bring home Woodburn with a single backup the middle. Bot 2 | 2-0 Tampa
- J.P. Gates would put one in the left-centerfield gap for a two-out double. Garavito followed with a single through the right side to bring home Gates. Bot 3 | 3-0 Tampa
- After a leadoff walk to Maddox King, E.J. Cumbo would go to the opposite field and lift one over the left field wall. Bot 4 | 5-1 Tampa
- Gates singled, Mike Valdez singled, and Woodburn walked to load the bases up for the Spartans. King drew a walk to bring home Gates. Then Saladino flew out to the right field and brought home Valdez. Then Cumbo doubled to right center to bring in King and Woodburn. Bot 5 | 9-1 Tampa
- Saladino would walk, and once again, Cumbo would do the same thing he did in the 4th, taking an outside pitch the opposite way over the left field wall for his second 2-run shot on the day. Bot 7 | 11-1 Tampa
- Woodburn would singled to right field, and then Saladino would unloaded on one, hitting it over the centerfield wall. Bot 8 | 13-1 Tampa

- Saladino: 3-4, 4 RBI's, & 2 R's.

ON THE MOUND:
- Alex Canney dominates in his first-ever complete game. He allowed 1 run and 4 hits while striking out 10 batters. Canney improved to 12-2 on the season.
