Eight Spartans Named to D2CCA All-Region Team as Skylar Gonzalez Named Pitcher of the Year
LAKELAND, Fla. - The University of Tampa has eight players on the D2CCA All-South Region team, led by South Region Pitcher of the Year Skylar Gonzalez.
Joining Gonzalez as first-team all-South Region selections were catcher Santiago Garavito, outfielder E.J. Cumbo and pitcher Alex Canney.
On the second team were third baseman Anthony Nunez, outfielder Mike Valdez, designated hitter J.P. Gates and relief pitcher Andrew Carson.
