Four Defensive Errors Cost No. 1 Tampa in Loss to Quincy
TAMPA, FL. – The #1 University of Tampa Spartans drop game two of the series due to four defensive errors.

All-Time Series: This was the 7th meeting between these two programs. Tampa leads 4-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jordan Williams led the game off for the Spartans reaching base safely on a bunt attempt that resulted in an error by the Hawks pitcher. J. Williams than stole second and third. J.D. Urso grounded out to the shortstop to bring in J. Williams. Cole Russo followed with a blast to right field to give the Spartans an early lead. End 1 | 2-0 Tampa
AT THE PLATE:
- Russo: 2-5 (HR), RBI, & R
- J. Williams: 2-4, BB, & R
ON THE MOUND:
- C.J. Williams started on the mound. He threw 4.2 innings, striking out 10 while giving up 4 earned runs. Williams took the loss and is now 1-1 on the season.
- Ethan Brown came in relief Williams. He threw struckout 2 batters; however; gave up 2 earned runs in his appearance.
- Logan Wash came in relief for Brown. He walked his only two batters he faced.
- Ryan Stefiuk came in relief for Wash. He threw 2.2 scoreless innings while striking out a batter.
- Robert Satin came in relief for Stefiuk. He gave up 1 run in the ninth inning while striking out a batter
