UT Men Set To Clash With Fire
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's basketball team welcomes the Southeastern Fire to the Bob Martinez Athletics Center on Tuesday. The game will start at 7:00 p.m.
The Spartans (1-0) are 4-1 all-time against the Fire. The Spartans suffered a 66-45 loss to the Fire last season.
The Spartans (1-0) are coming off an 85-74 win over the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Saturday.
Senior forward Callum Townsend led the team in scoring with 14 points in the Spartans home opener. Junior forward Vincent Cornu added 13 points, while Austin Rettig and Stefon Barfield each added 12 points.
The Fire (7-1) are led by junior forward Povilas Gaidys and senior center Tim Jickell.
Tickets are available at the gate for $5. Children 12-and-under will be admitted free. UT faculty, staff and students are admitted free when displaying a valid Spartan ID card.
