HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half | The Eagles were on the board first with a layup, but Tampa quickly retaliated with a layup of their own by Senior Marcel Robinson. The Spartans kept a steady lead for the beginning of the half. In the 12th minute, Tampa had a 10-point lead over Embry Riddle. With seven minutes remaining, the Eagles tied it back up at 24. Shortly after, Anthony Gamble hit his fourth three-point jumper of the half. UT was unable to gain the lead back as they went into the locker room trailing Embry Riddle 44-38. Gamble led the offense with 12 points while Duke Shelton and Robinson held down to the defense with four rebounds each.

2nd Half | Tampa started the half with a ferocious dunk by Gamble. The Eagles stayed ahead until the 11th minute where Robinson made a steal and finished with a shot beyond the arc to tie the game at 60. The teams exchanged leads until John Whitaker drained a three-point jumper in the eighth minute. The Spartans remained on top, but the Eagles were able to make it a two-point game in the last two minutes. After a layup by Shelton, UT confirmed the victory. In the end, Tampa defeated Embry Riddle 87-84. Robinson led the team on offense and defense notching a career-high of 35 points and recording nine rebounds.
