Back-to-Back Double-Doubles Secure Blount SSC Player of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference has named Ryan Blount its Player of the Week, as announced in the conference's weekly awards presented by Pollo Campero. Blount earns the honor after turning in two outstanding performances over the weekend, recording back-to-back double-doubles and anchoring Tampa on both ends of the floor.

In Friday's matchup against Puerto Rico Mayagüez, Blount delivered a complete effort, leading the Spartans in points (21), rebounds (12), and assists (5), while also adding two steals and a block. His presence was felt across the court as he powered Tampa to a huge win to open the weekend. He followed that performance with an even bigger outing on Saturday against Claflin University, leading all players with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Blount was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, showcasing efficiency and poise in another dominant showing.

With two statement games and unmatched consistency, Blount's performance solidified him as this week's top standout in the SSC.
