Ryan Blount, Trey Lane Receive All-SSC Honors
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference recognizes nineteen men's basketball student-athletes as All-SSC in 2025-26. Ryan Blount from the University of Tampa was recognized on the first team while Trey Lane is on the third team.
Nova Southeastern's Dallas Graziani was named the SSC's Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. The Shark's coach Jim Crutchfield was awarded Coach of the Year. Florida Tech's Ty Harpring earns Freshman of the Year.
Ryan Blount delivered a standout season for Tampa, emerging as one of the top scorers in the Sunshine State Conference. Starting all 28 games, Blount averaged 21.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while playing 33.7 minutes per contest, leading the Spartans in scoring. He shot an efficient 48.0 percent from the field, including 41.0 percent from three-point range (77-of-188), and converted 83.1 percent from the free throw line, finishing the season with 588 total points. Blount also contributed across the stat sheet with 88 assists (3.1 per game), 39 steals, and 9 blocks, while pulling down 205 total rebounds, including 150 defensive boards. His ability to score at all three levels was highlighted by multiple big offensive performances, including a 33-point outing against Kentucky State, a 30-point game against St. Thomas Aquinas, and several other 20-plus point efforts throughout the season.
Trey Lane played a major role in Tampa's backcourt during the 2025–26 season, appearing in 28 games with 24 starts while averaging 14.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game across 30.2 minutes per contest. Lane finished the year with 416 total points, shooting 38.4 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three-point range, while converting an impressive 94.0 percent of his free throws (78-of-83) to lead the SSC. He also contributed defensively with 63 steals, and added 83 assists to spark the offense. He knocked down 82 three-pointers during the season and recorded several standout scoring performances, highlighted by a 44-point outburst at Embry-Riddle, one of the top single-game scoring performances in Tampa history.

Graziani is a 5-8 guard from Nova Southeastern. He's averaged 19.9 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. He shot 47 percent from the field, shooting 33 percent from three and 77 percent from the free throw line. He led the conference in steals per game (2.3) and assists per game. Graziani becomes just the second men's basketball player in league history to win Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. He is the fourth player from NSU to earn Player of the Year and the second Shark to be named Defensive Player of the Year.
NSU's head coach Jim Crutchfield was recognized as the league's Coach of the Year for the fifth time. He led the Sharks to their fifth consecutive regular season title with a 19-1 mark in league play. The Sharks currently boast a 29-1 overall record and sit as the No. 1 ranked team in the country. NSU leads the league with a potent offense, averaging 101.8 points per game. Their average margin of victory is 24.5 with a league-leading 50 percent field goal percentage as a team.
Harpring is a 6-3 guard from Florida Tech. He becomes the ninth Panther to earn SSC Freshman of the Year. He averaged 11.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He shot 46 percent from the field, including 42 percent from 3-point range. He posted a season-high 25 points in a game at Lynn on Jan. 7.
All-conference selections and individual award winners are determined by a vote of Sunshine State Conference head coaches with oversight and approval from member institution Athletic Directors.
