MELBOURNE, Fla. - Andrew Kew earns the Sunshine State Conference offensive player of the week honors after his performance against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks and the Embry-Riddle Eagles. The Spartans defeated the Mavericks 19-6 before downing the Eagles 25-8.
Kew takes Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third time this season for his performance in Tampa's wins over Colorado Mesa University (19-6) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (25-8). During the game against the Mavericks, Kew tallied six goals, one assist, and picked up one ground ball. Facing the Eagles, the Ontario native scored five times and had three assists. The senior attacker took 16 shots, placing 12 on goal, scooped two ground balls, and 15 points across the two games. Kew has been named Offensive Player of the Week eight times in his career, tying him for second all-time in SSC men's lacrosse weekly awards.
