TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team takes down Wingate to advance to the NCAA Semifinal.
How It Happened

The first quarter of action would be low scoring, with the Bulldogs opening up with the game's first goal.

Two goals from attacker Davis Lindsey would put Tampa up by one after the first quarter.

Wingate struck back twice in the second quarter to lead, but a response from Tampa's Ronan Sanchez would bring the contest to a tie with just under eleven minutes to play.

A goal about a minute later from Wingate's Sean Clark would put the Bulldogs back on top, but it would be the last time they led in the game.

The two programs would head to the half, all knotted up at five.

The Spartans would have four different players get on the scoresheet in the third in Rafe Bradshaw, Sanchez, Devon Rasmus, and Ryan Kemp to lead by two heading into the final quarter.
- Michael Flores tallied the first goal of the fourth quarter just five seconds in, giving Tampa further momentum and a three-goal cushion.

Wingate would battle, but ultimately Tampa would get strong stops on the defensive side and continue to tack on goals from Bradshaw, Zach Johnson, and Rex Kesselring to win by four.
