Two Weekend Matchups for Tampa Men's Lacrosse

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team is set to host two games and two additional neutral-site games this weekend at Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex.

The Matchups: 

No. 4 University of Tampa (7-1, 0-0 SSC) vs. Montevallo (4-4, 0-0 GSC)
Date/Time: Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

No. 4 University of Tampa (7-1, 0-0 SSC) vs. No. 10 Colorado Mesa (3-0, 0-0 RMAC)
Date/Time: Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Location: Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex. 1150 W North A St, Tampa, FL 33606

Series History: Montevallo and Tampa have yet to play one another.

Tampa is 8-4 all-time versus Colorado Mesa.

About the Spartans: After falling to then No. 5-ranked Anderson on the road in overtime last weekend, Tampa dropped just two spots to No. 4 in the USILA rankings. The Spartans are at home now for three consecutive games, including two this weekend, before they start SSC league play next Saturday versus Florida Southern. 

About the Falcons: The Falcons are 4-4 and have won one matchup in their last three. After opening the season playing four straight road contests, Montevallo played four consecutive home games. Now, the Falcons will play three consecutive road games as they are set to play Tampa, PBA, and Maryville.

About the Mavericks: The 3-0 Mavericks rank No. 10 in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Coaches' Poll and will begin the trip on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with a neutral-site match-up against the Palm Beach Atlantic Saifish (4-3) in Tampa. The Mavs will then take on the host and nation's fourth-ranked Tampa Spartans, currently 7-1, at their Naimoli Family Athletic Complex on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. The Mavs will then head to St. Augustine to wrap up the trip at Flagler, currently 5-3, next Tuesday.
