UT Men’s Soccer Set to Host Eckerd
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 11 University of Tampa men's soccer team is set to host Eckerd College at 7 p.m., on Tuesday at Pepin Stadium.
The Spartans are coming off a tough 3-0 loss at Florida Southern this past Saturday night. Tampa enters the match with a 3-1-2 overall record.
Junior Tyler Blackwood enters the match leading the Spartans with five goals and 13 points overall. Fellow classmate Alex Knaggs has supported the team well this season with three goals and two assists to show for his efforts. Sophomore Kody Thomas has also contributed this year with three goals of his own.
Eckerd comes into the game with an overall record of 2-3-2
following a 4-0 loss suffered at No. 17 Saint Leo.
Junior forward Nick Murawski has been the star of the Tritons this
season with a team-leading three goals and three assists. Joe
Swindell has also contributed with two goals and one assist.
Tampa is 30-6 in the all-time series with Eckerd as UT enjoyed a 1-0 victory when the teams last met in the 2012 season at Pepin Stadium.
Tickets are available at the gate for $5. Children 12-and-under will be admitted free. UT faculty, staff and students are admitted free when displaying a valid Spartan ID card.
