Tampa’s Catherine Parker Honored as SSC Swimmer of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa sophomore Catherine Parker has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week.

Parker, a native of Boca Raton, Fla., tallied three individual victories in the Spartans' dual meet setback against Emory, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division III.

Parker won both of the butterfly events, taking the 100-yard race with a time of 59.17 and completing the 200-yard race in 2:08.38. Her time in the 200-yard event met the NCAA "B" standard. Parker also claimed first place in the 200-yard individual medley, notching a mark of 2:11.31.
