As a Freshman: Participated in five events at the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships… Posted a second-place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 54.26… Swam a season-best time of 9:51.49 in the 1000 yard freestyle during the SSC Championships.
High School: Graduated from Lawton Chiles High School, where he competed in the 500 Freestyle for coach Amanda Meyer...Was honored as the swimmer of the year for the Timberwolves following junior and senior years...Competed in the FHSAA State Championship all four years...In the 200 butterfly at age 17, dropped 4-plus seconds and went 2-seconds under the 2:10 mark...Also competed for Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club and coach Terry Maul...Member of multiple state championships and sectional championships.
