Return to Action Leads to Pair of Wins for No. 2 Tampa
MELBOURNE, Fla. — The No. 2 University of Tampa swimming teams delivered a commanding performance at the Sprint Invite hosted by Florida Tech on Thursday, showcasing depth and dominance across the board. The Spartans controlled the meet from start to finish, winning the majority of events and reinforcing their national stature as the season progresses.

Top Performers (Men)
- 200 Medley Relay: Tampa's A-team (William Beckstead-Holman, Kasparas Venslauskas, Nick Cavic, Alfredo Dominguez) opened strong with a 1:29.04 victory.
- 1000 Freestyle: Elliot Weisel led the distance group with 9:17.99, followed by Julian Ithier (9:25.85) and Hudson Evans (9:33.29).
- 200 Freestyle: Jacob Hamlin dominated in 1:36.74, ahead of Florida Tech's Antoni Fronczak (1:37.94) and Tampa's Aidan Clements (1:41.30).
- 50 Backstroke: Beckstead-Holman sprinted to first in 22.58.
- 50 Breaststroke: Jared Allison established a new school record as he claimed the win in 25.36, with Venslauskas (25.72) close behind.
- 100 Butterfly: Cavic finished second overall in 48.17, narrowly behind Florida Tech's Akos Hajagos (48.01), while Josh Noll (48.77) and Roberto Zarate (49.37) added depth.
- 50 Freestyle: Dominguez took the crown in 20.73, edging Florida Tech's Anderson Pleiman (20.77).
- 100 Freestyle: Cavic stormed to victory in 44.69, with Hamlin (45.81) and Elliot Weisel (46.52) contributing strong finishes.
- 100 Breaststroke: Venslauskas led the way in 55.48, followed by Allison (55.51) and Britton Spann (56.07).
- 50 Butterfly: Dominguez added another win in 22.23, with Zarate (22.42) and Beckstead-Holman (22.58) close behind.
- 100 IM: Allison posted a winning time of 49.13, ahead of Cavic (50.18).
- 200 Freestyle Relay: Florida Tech edged Tampa in the final relay (1:21.48 to 1:22.71), but Tampa's quartet of Dominguez, Noll, Weisel, and Parsons secured second place.

- 200 Medley Relay: Tampa's A-team of Kim McCaffrey, Stephanie Vogt, McCall Freiburger, and Madalee Roberts opened the meet with a first-place finish in 1:43.65, while Tampa's B and C squads followed closely behind (1:44.68 and 1:44.93).
- 1000 Freestyle: Morgan Wimberly led the distance charge with a winning time of 10:22.37, followed by teammates Alyssa Webb (10:26.73) and Lainey Blase (10:43.82) for a 1-2-3 sweep.
- 200 Freestyle: McKenna Patrick dominated with a 1:50.51 victory, ahead of Carlie Tyler (1:55.77) and Julia Kiley (1:55.89).
- 50 Backstroke: McCaffrey claimed first in 26.21, with Lindsey Louder (26.44) and Sidni Meister (27.10) rounding out the top three.
- 50 Breaststroke: Hannah-Claire Jowers took gold in a new school record time of 28.94, followed by Vogt (29.15) and Katie Ramsey (29.93).
- 100 Butterfly: Burlingtyn Bokos posted a winning time of 55.67, with Caroline Foltz (58.45) and Caroline Byers (58.61) also scoring strong finishes.
- 50 Freestyle: Avery Frece sprinted to first in 23.37, ahead of Laney Jones (23.69).
- 100 Freestyle: Frece doubled up with another win at 50.73, followed by Patrick (51.58) and Jones (53.36).
- 100 Backstroke: Louder led the way in 56.25, with McCaffrey (57.50) and Tyler (58.32) close behind.
- 100 Breaststroke: Jowers earned another victory in 1:03.49, with Ramsey (1:05.19) and Marissa DeMarco (1:05.21) completing a Tampa sweep.
- 50 Butterfly: Jowers struck again with a 25.58 finish, edging Florida Tech's London Best.
- 100 IM: Bokos topped the field in 58.04, followed by Vogt (58.13) and Foltz (59.60).
- 200 Freestyle Relay: Tampa's A-team (Frece, Jones, Roberts, Freiburger) closed the meet with a win in 1:35.64, ahead of Florida Tech's A squad (1:36.54).
