Spartans Place Nine on All-SSC Men's Swimming Teams
ORLANDO, Fla. - Twenty-four student-athletes have been selected to the 2025-26 All-SSC Men's Swimming Team. Voting for the team was conducted among the Sunshine State Conference men's swimming coaches.
The 2026 SSC men's champion, Tampa, acquired nine awards, including three First Team award winners. The set a new conference record narrowing out Florida Southern who previously held the record at eight (2013-14). Every school that participated in the championship meet placed at least one athlete on the 2025-26 All-Conference teams.
The Spartans were led by three first-team all-SSC selections in William Beckstead-Holman, Nick Cavic, and Jacob Hamlin. Second-team members included Julian Ithier and Britton Spann. Earning a spot on the third team were Aidan Clements, Barnabas Fluck, Tibor Tistan, and Elliot Weisel.
SSC Records / Top Times | Men's Swimming All-SSC Teams
Maurice Grabowski of Lynn and Jacob Hamlin from Tampa highlight this year's All-SSC award winners. Grabowski is the top–point getter in back to back years at the championship meet, he earned his second straight First Team honor and third straight overall. Hamlin is the reigning SSC Swimmer of the Year, and led the Spartans to their record tying fourth straight conference title. The duo are joined by Vitaly Kostin of Lynn and Peter Csicsaky of Florida Southern as the only to repeat on the First Team from the 2024-25 season.
Akos Hajagos from Florida Tech, a First Team member, and Barnabas Fluck from Tampa, a Third team member, make the cut after formerly being named Freshman of the Year in 2024 and 2023, respectively. A total of 12 athletes across the three all-conference teams have previously earned a league honor, nine directly from last season.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship March 10th - Saturday, March 14th, at the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Indiana.
