Zach Kehler Presented as SSC Runner of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa men's cross country runner Zach Kehler has been announced as the Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week, as presented by Pollo Campero.

Kehler broke the 25-minute mark with his performance at the Southern Showcase 8K in Huntsville, Alabama, last week. The junior from Austin, Texas, finished the 8,000-meter race in 24.50.50, finishing 64th overall in the mainly Division I event. Kehler was the fifth Division II runner to cross the finish line, and his performance helped Tampa secure an 18th-place finish among 48 squads, behind 14 Division I programs. 

Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their regular season performances during the week of September 8 - 14, 2025. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
