Spartans Sixth at NCAA Men's Cross Country South Regional
LAKELAND, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's cross country team competed at the NCAA South Regional at Holloway Park, concluding its season with a sixth-place finish.
The men's race featured a dominant performance from Lee (Tenn.), who placed five runners in the top 11 to win the regional title decisively with 24 points. Florida Southern finished second with 53 points, while Embry-Riddle claimed third with 110 points. Individually, Colten Lee (Palm Beach Atlantic) earned the regional crown in 31:22.34, followed by Tucker Wright (Lee) and Edimo Ninteretse (Lee).
The University of Tampa men delivered a strong team effort, finishing 6th overall with 171 points, led by a top-15 performance from William Poe, who placed 15th in 32:31.56. Tampa's scoring pack was consistent, with all five scorers inside the top 66 to close out their regional campaign.
