Deanna Henriott Earns SSC Pitcher of the Week Honor

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa softball player Deanna Henriott was tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week for her performances against Eckerd College in Saturday's doubleheader.

Henriott, a sophomore from St. Petersburg, Fla., earned a pair of SSC wins against Eckerd. The former St. Petersburg Catholic star did not surrender a single run on four hits and no walks against her hometown team. She struck out 12 batters. In the Spartans' 8-0 win in the second game of the series, she tossed a complete game shutout to lead UT to the three-game sweep of the Tritons.
