Offensive Onslaught Helps UT Match School Record Winning Streak
CLERMONT, Fla. - The No. 16 University of Tampa (13-1) softball team tied a school record with its 10th consecutive victory in a 12-3 win over Georgian Court University (0-1) in a five inning game.
Julie Wisniewski was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored as teammate Becky Vyzas built on her stellar start to the 2011 season with a pair of hits, two runs and a team-leading three RBI. Susan Jallo also scored a pair of runs and drove in two.
After taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, Tampa tacked on two in the second prior to a six-run third inning to put the game out of reach.
