No. 21 Tampa Set for Weekend Series Against Lynn
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 21 University of Tampa softball team is set to take on Sunshine State Conference foe Lynn University for a weekend series. This will be the first time the two teams face each other this season.
The Spartans moved up in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCAA) from No. 24 to No. 21 this week.
UT comes into this series with a record of 13-3, while Lynn sports a 1-18 mark. This series will be the first SSC matchups of the season for both Tampa and Lynn.
The all-time record for the Spartans against the Fighting Knights is 26-18. They last met in the 2011 season, and the Spartans swept the three-game series in Boca Raton, Fla.

The offense for UT has picked up momentum thanks to recent performances by Kayleen Boatwright, Stacy Piagno, and Susan Jallo, all of whom have a batting average above .340.
The first game of the series is set for 7 p.m., on Friday evening at the Vince Naimoli Softball Field, with a double-header starting at 1 p.m., on Saturday.
