Stacy Piagno Named SSC Softball Player of the Week
ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Stacy Piagno and has been named the Sunshine State Conference Softball Player of the Week presented by VALIC.
Piagno, a senior second baseman from St. Augustine, Fla., led the No. 17 Spartans to an SSC sweep at Eckerd, batting .500 (5-for-10) with six RBI and three runs. Piagno had a home run and three RBI in each half of UT's doubleheader versus the Tritons. She went 3-for-4 in a 10-0 win in the first game of the double dip and was 2-for-3 in an 8-0 win in the nightcap.
Piagno concluded the series with a 1.100 slugging percentage and
a .545 on-base percentage. She was flawless on defense.
