Tampa Softball Concludes Season at NCAA Tournament
FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of Tampa softball team ended its 2015 season with a 6-0 loss to the University of North Alabama in the NCAA Division II South Regional.
UNA struck for one in the fourth on a solo home run, and then tacked on five unearned runs in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach.
The Spartans had just two hits on the day, coming off the bats of seniors Kandi Kuder and Lindsay Dring.
Julia Morrow (25-9) threw all 7.0 innings, giving up just one earned run while striking out four Lions.
The Spartans complete the 2015 season with a 28-13 overall record after winning the Sunshine State Conference championship. UT has now advanced to five consecutive NCAA tournaments.
