Spartans Set to Host Bulldogs in Tuesday Night Doubleheader

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Spartans will host the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in a Tuesday night doubleheader.

The Matchups: No. 11 University of Tampa Spartans vs. University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs

Record: No. 11 Tampa Spartans (11-8), Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs (13-2)

Dates/Times: Tuesday, March 8 at 3:00 pm (DH)

Location: Naimoli Family Softball Field || 1005 Frederic H. Spaulding Drive, Tampa, Fla.

About the Spartans: The Spartans look to bounce back after narrowly dropping their three-game series to the Nova Southeastern Sharks last weekend. The Spartans head into Tuesday night's matchup with a .267 batting average, .351 slugging, and a .322 on-base percentage.

About the Bulldogs: The Bulldogs heads to Tampa after splitting their doubleheader on Sunday. The Bulldogs fell 6-3 to Southern New Hampshire University, then defeated Lake Erie College 9-0. Currently, the Bulldogs have a .278 batting average, .463 slugging, and a .378 on-base percentage.

Series History: The Bulldogs hold a 2-0 lead in the series history against the Spartans. The last meeting between the two teams was in March of the 2020 season.
