Galhouse, Feldman Claim All-Region Awards

TAMPA, Fla. – The awards continue for the Spartans as Mary Beth Feldman and Mariah Galhouse (UT/P) were selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Associations (D2CCA) All-South Region first team for their performances this season. Galhouse also claimed a spot (P) on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region first team.

The news comes just days after the Spartans were named the second seed and one of the NCAA South Region Tournament hosts, and Feldman was named Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Year and selected to the All-SSC First Team with Galhouse.

Feldman produced a 0.43 ERA, holding opposing batters to a .164 average, and Galhouse, with a 0.77 ERA, held opposing batters to a .202 average, ranked first and third among the pitchers in Division II Softball.

For the D2CCA and NFCA, all honorees and first-team honorees will advance to the national ballot for All-America consideration.
