Softball Ranked No. 2 In Final NFCA Top 25 Poll

Louisville, Ky. – The final Division II Top 25 Poll of 2025 has been released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. University of Tampa's softball program earned their highest final ranking in program history, finishing the season ranked No. 2 in the country. The Spartans final ranking is based on their incredible 2025 campaign, reaching the world series for the first time in program history and ending the year as national runner-ups. 

Tampa Softball finished the 2025 season with a 48-12 overall record, entering the post season as the No. 5 team in the country. The Spartans run through the South Region and big wins at the Division ll Softball World Series elevated the teams final ranking to No. 2. With key pieces returning like All-American Gwen McGinnins, look for Tampa to be highly ranked again for the start of the 2026 season. 

The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions. Repeat national champions UT Tyler finished atop the final NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll for the second consecutive season.
