WNBA’s Washington Mystics and Sacramento Monarchs to Play Pre-season Game at UT
TAMPA, Fla. - The Washington Mystics and Sacramento Monarchs of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) will participate in the first-ever league game to take place in Tampa, on Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. The game will be played at the Bob Martinez Sports Center on the campus of the University of Tampa.
As part of the festivities, the Mystics will host a clinic for
area high school students featuring Hernando County's Bernice Mosby
and the entire Mystics team. Washington's coaching staff, headed by
Tree Rollins, will also host a coaches' clinic. Both clinics will
take part at Palm Harbor University High School on Saturday, May
3rd from 2:00 -3:00 p.m.
Following the clinics, the team will host members of the local
media to a shooting contest. Media interested in participating in
the contest should contact Ramona Hurley at Innisbrook Resort and
Golf Club at (727) 773-0355. The contest will also take place at
Palm Harbor University High School from 3:15-4:00 p.m.

Last season, the Mystics played two pre-season games in non-WNBA cities, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Columbus, Ohio.
