Amy Thompson's Career High Night leads Spartans to 74-44 Victory Over Barry
MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Amy Thompson led the Spartans to a huge 74–44 Sunshine State Conference win over Barry with a career-high performance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
The Buccaneers won the tip-off. Amy Thompson got on the board first with a 3-pointer and quickly followed with another. Tampa's offense went to work early, while Barry fought to stay within reach. Ryan Franklin made an impact in the paint on both ends to help the Spartans maintain control. Thompson added another pair of threes, going 4-for-4 from beyond the arc in the first six minutes. Faith Pickens contributed with an effortless steal and strong rebounding effort. Jade Thompson pushed the pace, and Olivia Davis knocked down a quick three to close the first quarter with Tampa leading 22–6.
Franklin opened scoring for Tampa in the second with a free throw. Amy Thompson then knocked down her sixth and seventh threes of the game. Diaz added a reverse layup to keep the Spartans' momentum going, and Amy Thompson stayed hot from deep with her eighth three-pointer. Barry continued working to chip away at the deficit, but Jade Thompson answered with a big three. Franklin secured a double-double before halftime as the Spartans took a 45–18 lead into the break.
Second Half
Jade Thompson opened scoring in the half with a trip to the line. Franklin kept the pace strong on both ends as Tampa maintained its lead. Diaz capitalized on fast-break opportunities while the Spartans' defense shut down the Buccaneers. A Pickens layup off a turnover closed the third quarter with Tampa ahead 61–24.
In the final period, the Spartans continued their reign as Helena Kuck and Maddie O'Berski hit three-pointers, and Brooklynn Butler added one of her own. Behind Amy Thompson's lights-out shooting, Tampa held firm to secure the 74–44 victory. Thompson finished with a career-high 24 points and tied the program record for made threes in a game with eight.
