Elena de Alfredo is in her second season as a graduate assistant coach with the women’s basketball program. The 2017 UT graduate with a degree in communications was a two-year letterwinner with the Spartans after attending the University of Toledo for two seasons.

de Alfredo has been an active member in the community as she has volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity organization, Race for the Cure, and Metropolitan Ministries. The Madrid native has also worked for the GIGANTES del Basket magazine, BTM Basketball travel company, and as a Spanish tutor for the University of Tampa. 

For the Spartans, de Alfredo was the team captain from 2015-2017, while tallying a whopping 803 points for the squad in just two seasons. She averaged 35.2 minutes per game, 13.2 points per game, and earned an 85.8 free throw percentage. Over her career, de Alfredo also collected 236 rebounds, 172 assists, and 50 steals.

A 2016 All-Newcomer team selection; 2017 SSC first team all-conference selection; 2016-17 Representative of the UT Royal Guard of Honor; 2015-17 Women's Basketball Captain; Tampa's all-time 3 point and Free Throw % leader. 

Spanish National Team: 2009 European Champions Gold Medalist; 2013 European Champions Gold Medalist; 2011 European Bronze Medalist...2012 European Champions All-Tournament Second Team selection; 2009-2010-2011 Captain; Represented the National Team in 5 European Championships, 2 World Championships, BAM International Tournament and 1 Youth Olympic Games. 

She remains the UT all-time leader in 3-point field goal percentage at .457, and also holds the school record with a .858 free-throw percentage. de Alfredo also set new single-season school records in 3-point field goal percentage (.469 in 2016-17), games played (33 in 2015-16) and games started (33 in 2015-16). de Alfredo was second in the nation in 3 point % her senior season. 

Along with her impressive list of statistics, de Alfredo also earned a number of awards and honors including: Sunshine State Conference All-Newcomer Team, DII ADA Academic Achievement Award, SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, All SSC First Team Selection, D2CCA Second Team All-South Region selection, CoSIDA Academic All District, and SSC Player of the Week (1/23). 

deAlfredo graduated Magna Cum Laude from UT with a degree in Communications and a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology.
