Spartans Play With Nation’s Best at Cincinnati Invite
CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team placed 19th at the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational, which included three rounds and was played at the Plantation Inn Golf Course.
The Spartans shot 1,105 with a 366 in the last round of play. Florida International was the top team with an 878 to edge Stetson, Morehead State and Xavier. UT was one of three non-NCAA Division I teams to compete.
Freshman Kendra Bishop led the Spartans with a 250, including an 81 in the final round of play. Kelsey Kennedy (278), Stephanie Norman (286), Allie Steffens (294), Erin Knight (295) and Kara Flando (318) also competed for Tampa.
UT is back in action on April 7 at the Warner Invite.
