Jimenez Rios Leads Tampa at Lady Moc Classic

LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team returned to action, finishing seventh overall at the Lady Moc Golf Classic.

OTHER NOTABLES:

• Jimenez Rios, a true freshman, led all Spartans for the third time this season.
• A third-round 71 from Jimenez Rios was the top individual round for the Spartans.
• This marks the second top-10 finish of the season for Jimenez Rios.
• Head coach Missey Jones entered Chloe Burdon as the lone UT individual player.
• A total of 15 teams competed.
• Joining UT, team champion Lynn and host Florida Southern (5) from the Sunshine Stte Conference were Nova Southeastern (3), Barry (5), Rollins (8), Saint Leo (10), Embry-Riddle (12), Eckerd (14) and Palm Beach Atlantic (15).
• Francesca Santoni of Saint Leo was the medalist with a 213 (-3), winning by three strokes.
