Tampa Women's Golf Opens Spring With WGI Championship
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team put together a commanding performance at The King and The Bear course to claim victory at the 2025 World Golf Invitational. The Spartans posted a three-round total of 886 (+22), securing a 17-stroke win over second-place Rollins College (903, +39) and third-place Flagler College (905, +41).
The team championship is the first for first-year head coach Chris Grace, and the program's first since 2022. It is the seventh team title in program history. Tampa's consistent play throughout the tournament allowed them to separate from the pack, led by standout performances from Ana Maria Jimenez and Justine Bayle.

Ana Maria Jimenez Rios (Tampa) finished 2nd overall with rounds of 74-69-74 (217, +1), just two strokes behind individual champion Stella Jelinek of Flagler (-1, 215).

Maria Mora (Tampa) posted a strong final round 70 to finish in 10th place (224, +8).
