Weather-Shortened Lady Mocs Classic Results in Tampa Seventh-Place Finish
LAKELAND, Fla. - Following a rainout on Monday, the University of Tampa resumed competition at the Lady Mocs Classic, finishing seventh in the 18-team field. The Spartans posted rounds of 306 and 296 for a total score of 602 (+26) on the par-72, 6,105-yard course at Grasslands Golf & Country Club.
Team Standings
Tampa finished just four strokes outside of the top five, highlighted by a second round that included a 10-stroke improvement. The event was won by Anderson (S.C.), which posted a two-round total of 588 (+12), followed closely by Lynn (589, +13) and Flagler (594, +18).
Top Performers
- The highlight of the tournament for Tampa was Ana Maria Jimenez, who had an outstanding second-round performance with a 4-under 68, finishing at 142 (-2) for the tournament. She secured 3rd place overall, just two strokes behind co-champions Jess Brown (Wingate) and Amelia Ruiz (Lynn) at 140 (-4).
- Maxime Holletschek registered as an individual, posting rounds of 77 and 70 to finish tied for 10th place at 147 (+3).
- Justine Bayle – T-35th (78-75—153, +9).
- Kelly Shanahan – T-35th (74-79—153, +9).
- Maria Mora – T-41st (80-74—154, +10).
- Ella Mason – T-80th (82-79—161, +17)
