Spartans Rise Five Spots on Final Day for Fourth-Place Regional Finish
GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The University of Tampa women's golf team delivered a commendable performance at the 2025 NCAA Division II South Regional, rising five spots on the final day to force a three-team playoff at the 2025 NCAA South Regional. The three round event was held from May 5–7 at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia.
The Spartans concluded the tournament in a three-way tie for fourth place with a total score of 891 (+27), matching Wingate and North Georgia. Tampa posted consistent play across all three rounds (303-296-292), in a field featuring 18 teams, including 14 ranked in the national top 25. Their final round 292 was among the best of the day, propelling them into the playoff contention. Flagler College secured the regional title, marking their first-ever regional crown and the first for a Peach Belt Conference member. Flagler, Nova Southeastern, Anderson, and North Georgia (via playoff) were the four advancing teams.
