Varsity Four Medals at Dad Vail Regatta
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Tampa rowing team competed against one of the nation's deepest championship fields May 9–10 at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, highlighted by a podium finish in the varsity four race on the Schuylkill River.
The Spartans' top result of the regatta came in the women's varsity four, where Tampa earned a third-place finish, marking the program's only medal of the weekend. The crew of Jenna Manning, Lilli Cavanaugh, Rowan Shanahan, and Eve Mundok, with Kyleigh Thorne serving as coxswain, delivered a strong performance to secure a spot on the podium in a highly competitive field.
Tampa also raced in multiple additional events throughout the weekend. In the women's pair, Sofia Daddona advanced through championship racing against a stacked field, while the Spartans added solid efforts in the women's novice four and lightweight four, continuing to gain experience against Division I, II, and III programs from across the country.
The Dad Vail Regatta served as a key late-season test for the Spartans, providing championship-level racing and valuable experience on a national stage. Saturday's races at Dad Vail concluded the 2026 spring season for the University of Tampa rowing program.
