WINTER PARK, Fla.- The fifth-ranked University of Tampa women's soccer team defeated Rollins College by a score of 1-0. The Spartans improve to 7-1-1 and 1-0 in Sunshine State Conference play. The Tars fall to 5-5 and 1-2 in conference play.
Courtney Evans had the spotlight for the night as she scored her second goal of the season for the Spartans. Evans scored the lone goal as she was assisted by Shelby Kuni, who put up five shots.
Shannon Aitken posted her third consecutive shutout for the Spartans, facing 13 shots, five on goal.
The Spartans are back in action Saturday, September 29, as they host conference foe Lynn University at 5 p.m.
