Spartans Battle to Tie With #7 Rollins

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa (10-5-1, 4-1-1 SSC) women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie in a Sunshine State Conference matchup as #7 Rollins College (11-0-3, 4-0-1) remained unbeaten on the season.

Following a scoreless first half, Tampa struck first when Shelby Kuni scored her seventh goal of the season on a penalty kick at 60:25. Rollins then answered 20 minutes later when Ashley Waplinger scored an unassisted goal.

The next 10 minutes of regulation went scoreless, forcing overtime. The first overtime period included just one shot, as UT's Marissa Mohammed was blocked. The second overtime had one shot as well, as Rollins' Chelsea Brady had a shot go wide at the five minute mark of the period.

Tampa outshot Rollins by a 14-11 margin, though the Tars held a 7-4 advantage on shots on goal. Kendall Bourdon played the entire 110 minutes in goal for UT, finishing with six saves.
