Cici Gonzalez Earns SSC Player of the Week Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa freshman Cici Gonzalez has been awarded the Sunshine State Conference women's soccer offensive player of the week, as announced by league commissioner Jay Jones on Monday afternoon.

The freshman forward from Lutz, Fla., led the Spartans to a pair of wins, including a conference road victory at Saint Leo. In that match, Gonzalez scored the game-winning goal with just 30 seconds remaining in regulation.

She also found the net in a 3-1 win over Barry. Gonzalez sealed the victory with UT's third goal of the contest in the 78th minute of action.
