No. 24 Spartans Set To Battle Sharks
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team welcomes the Nova Southeastern Sharks to Pepin Stadium on Tuesday. The kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
The No. 24 ranked Spartans (11-3-1, 5-1 SSC) are 10-2-1 all-time against Nova Southeastern. The Spartans beat the Sharks 2-0 last season in Fort Lauderdale.
The Spartans are coming off a 2-0 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday.
Sophomore midfielder Lauren Moore leads the way for UT's women with 13 goals and four assists. Freshman forward Cici Gonzalez is second on the team in goals with 11, while sophomore forward Jenny Karl has added six goals.
The Sharks (4-5-2, 3-3-1 SSC) are led by junior forward Malin Broberg, who has three goals including two game winners. Sophomore forward Sierra Lelii is second on the team with two goals.
The Pepin Stadium gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be available for $5 (adults, students and senior citizens). UT students and faculty/staff will be admitted free with a valid Spartan ID.
