Caroline Frykgard Selected SSC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Caroline Frykgard has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week presented by VALIC for the second time this season.
Frykgard, recorded 192 minutes of shutout play this past week against conference opponents. The goalkeeper saved three shots in a 0-0 overtime draw with #22 Florida Southern. She allowed no goals in her 82 minutes against Lynn. Tampa won 3-1, with Lynn scoring in the 89th minute. Tampa is now 7-0-2 on the season as Frykgard has not allowed a goal in her last 553 minutes in net.
