VALDOSTA, Ga. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team fell behind against No. 22 Georgia College early on and failed to score in a 2-0 loss. The Spartans pressed the Bobcats, as UT logged nine shots in each half.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half | Georgia College opened the scoring in the tenth minute as Amanda Bartholomew provided the magic off an assist from Sofia Lekas. Bartholomew leads the team with six points, two goals and two assists. The 22nd-ranked Bobcats extended the lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute on a goal from Sophia Bonser.
2nd Half | UT logged nine shots, three on goal, while Georgia College did not register a shot in the second half. Bobcats goalkeeper Ashlee Graham accumulated six saves, three of which came in the second half.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Moeko Morse and Emily Cady each notched three shots, Cady led with two on goal.
- Lauren McDanald, Reni Taiwo and Megan Bromwell played the entire 90 minutes.
UP NEXT: The University of Tampa is set to begin Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday, as the Spartans host Nova Southeastern at 7 p.m. at Pepin Stadium.
