COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of Tampa women's soccer team dropped its second-straight match to a nationally-ranked opponent as it fell on the road to Columbus State University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half | The opening half remained scoreless as the Spartans kept the Cougars off the board despite being outshot 14-5 in the half. || Tied, 0-0
2nd Half | It took the Cougars just 45-seconds to get on the board as the teams came out of the break. Riley Clark scored the first of two goals as she would make the score 2-0 with another goal in the 52nd minute. Tampa freshman Jalyssa Richardson cut the CSU lead in half as she netted an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute. The Cougars would re-claim the two-goal lead with a Flo Spano goal just six minutes later. || CSU, 3-1
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Goalkeeper Megan Bromwell earned the start and finished with three saves in just over 37 minutes of play. Freshman Allison Traub entered and played the final 52:45, securing six saves while allowing three scores.
- Columbus State outshot the Spartans 28-11 and 12-7 in shots on goal.
- Moeko Morse was credited with a team-high three shots, including two on target.
- Lacy Nasello, Mia Brantley, Reni Taiwo and Quinn Knapp each played all 90 minutes for the Spartans.
